Our latest Listen.Better vodcast – Comms in Care is with Adam Penwarden, Director of External Relations at Lifeways Group.
Adam gives a fascinating insight in how to carry on caring and the role of comms during a pandemic. 90% of Lifeways 11,000 staff are directly involved in caring for those with a wide range of learning disabilities, and so Adam and his comms team had to rapidly step up to communicate how to keep their people safe, motivated and in touch when problems arose. Switching to remote working, harnessing technology and breaking down hierarchies were all part of the response that has helped the organisation to not only survive but thrive over the last year, despite very challenging circumstances. Some great insight and lessons shared here.
